I’ve always wanted to write one of these posts, but I can never seem to get them finished. I still have my semi-started September Favorites in my Drafts haha. But I’m determined to finish this one!
Here are some of my favorite things from the past few months:
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Rooibos Tea
This tea is literally the best thing ever. I love pumpkin spice, so when my mom brought this home a few years ago, I got really excited. Off the top of my head, I don’t think it tastes very much like pumpkin, it’s the spices used in pumpkin pie that give it the flavor; so if you don’t like pumpkin, I think you’ll still enjoy this. Even though I love tea, I can still be a little picky when it comes to my favorites. Before trying this one, I only really loved Constant Comet, but I buy this tea every fall (more than once sometimes;)), and have never gotten sick of it. I definitely recommend trying it!
I know I’m a little late on this bandwagon but… When One Direction first came out, I was in sixth grade, and liked their most popular song, but after the hype of them first coming out wore off everyone, I never listened to their music. But I started listening to them this past September, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Especially on their last two albums. They are soo good. It’s interesting seeing how they matured over the years through their lyrics and sound, and I definitely like the sound they developed into the best.
This is kind of a continuation of the last Favorite, but it’s mainly focusing on his album. After I told my friend that I started to listen to One Direction, she told me to listen to Harry’s music. It’s probably one of my favorite albums now. The sound of his music and his voice combined are awesome.
Lately I’ve been loving wearing my hair in a plain French braid down the back of my head. I part my hair to the side and start braiding below the crown of my head. Sometimes I’ll tie it off in a ponytail at the nape of my neck. This style is so nice for when I don’t have a lot of time in the morning because I hate getting out of bed 😜
My Rose Gold Slip-on Sneakers
I’ve never owned a pair of Dr. Scholl’s shoes before, nor would I have ever expected myself to, but they are so comfortable. I got them before school started, and they’re probably my favorite pair of shoes right now. (You can see pictures of them in my First Week of School + What I Wore post)
I originally read the first four books of this series in elementary school, but everyone else was reading them, so I guess that discouraged me from finishing them. I’ve been meaning to reread and finish the books for a while, and finally started over the summer. I’ve already seen the movies a million times because I love them so much, so I knew that the books were going to be good, but I didn’t remember them being this good. I wish I had more time to read them (it’s taken me a month to get through two chapters of GoF) because I never want to put them down.
This is the book that’s been taking up all my reading time. We’re reading it in my AP Lit class. If you’ve never read it before, you should because Ralph Ellison is a great writer. There’s so much information and so many metaphors crammed into this one (long) book, it’s impossible to discuss all of them. But all the turn of events make this book impossible to put down, so I don’t very much mind that I haven’t had much time for Harry Potter.
My Long Navy Winter Coat
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before. But I’m always. Cold. Always. And my school is freezing. So it doesn’t matter what I’m wearing, I always wear my winter coat. All day. I almost never take it off. But I’m usually still cold. That’s not my coat’s fault though. I still love my coat.
Thanks for reading! Comment some of your Fall Favorites.
