Packing For Spain

This Sunday, I am leaving the United States for Spain! So today I am packing my suitcase for ten days of vacationing. While I am there, it will be in the low 90s, so the first item to go in my suitcase will be…

and more shorts! Tank tops, too.

When traveling on a plane, or just traveling in general, it is important to pack light. I consider myself to be a light packer, but luckily my trip is during the summer so I don’t have to stuff my suitcase full of sweaters and jeans. I have tried to pack only what I need:

  • Nine outfits
  • Pajamas
  • Swim suits
  • Socks
  • Soap
  • Underwear
  • Comfortable shoes and sandals/flip-flops
  • Glasses/contacts
  • Etc.

This is only a basic list of what I have packed, but you get the idea. When I am zipping up my luggage, I am always afraid I will have forgotten something important, but my mom likes to say that as long as I have underwear and my tooth brush, I’ll be all set.

It is also a good idea to put your more important things in your carry-on bag. Like an extra change of clothes, your tooth brush, and any medication that you need. Just in case your luggage gets lost, because I would hate to be stranded with dirty clothes. And since I will have to sleep on the plane to not be as tired the next day, a pillow is also very important. And some sort of ear covers (head phones, ear buds, ear plugs, etc), in case someone on the plane snores.

This is not my first time on a plane, or being out of the country, but I’m still a little nervous. I think just as long as I remember my gum, so my ears don’t hurt from the pressure, I’ll be fine.

XOXO Madelyn Marie
